Most would agree it’s fair to say that Manchester is on fire right now. With artists and projects coming left right and center, young Geko under One Tape Records keeps the bangers coming just in time for summer. Between the north and south cities, Geko has made significant noise and great progress throughout his career as an artist, receiving the stamp of approval from some of your favourite UK rappers. Still experimenting with sounds, recently he has released two widely recognised hits, “Baba” and his latest soon-to-be-hit “Ghetto Queen”. Both tracks are sonically dancehall influenced, but still manage to please the ears of the average listener.
With “Baba” receiving over a million views on Youtube, “Ghetto Queen” seems soon to follow as the feel good rhythm is just as infectious. The official video was released on April 27th, with content and pictures reminiscent of those in “Baba”, both directed and edited by Shaz for One Way TV. Fans all over are likely to expect a project, as Geko releases a series of hits and has displayed his worth to the scene. Watch the video above via Youtube.
