“If you ain’t my ni**a, keep your arse from around me!”

Fetty Wap has been one of the standout stars of 2015 so far. The US rapper has already had a hit track ‘Trap Queen‘, which peaked at #1 in the US Rap Chart, worked with the likes of Drake, Rick Ross and Future [on the remix of ‘My Way’] and was one of 10 artists selected as this year’s XXL Freshman Class of 2015. Building on this success, Fetty Wap today dropped a new track entitled ‘Boomin‘ and it seems it was released on the request of his brother.

The track showcases a more aggressive side to the rapper to what we’re used to but allows Fetty Wap to flow over the beat with energetic and power filled bars, instead of his usual slow vibe. The trap infused track has already been streamed over 175,000 times in 24 hours and the internet is showing love! It’s clear that ‘Boomin‘ is Fetty Wap declaring his place within the scene, explaining his hustle and grind whilst repping his Zoo Gang affiliates. The track also provides a shoutout to Bricksquad leader Gucci Mane who is currently in jail by signing off the song with “Free Gwop!”

Fetty Wap recently dropped two summer anthems – Ride or Die’ and ‘Sumn Quick’ – which we imagine is Fetty’s way of trying to solidify himself as the artist of the summer if not giving him a better chance of earning the song of the summer. The rapper is also set to drop  a self titled project later this year so keep it locked to LOST CULTURE for updates…
