Over the past few months, The Game has been putting the final touches to his new album The Documentary 2, which will serve as a follow up to his 2005 debut The Documentary. The project is set to feature the likes of Keyshia Cole, Kanye West, Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, Just Blaze and Scott Storch, who he has been working with in the studio. Today, DJ Envy released an exclusive track ‘100’ which is set to feature on the new album, with US rapper Drake.
‘100‘ sees both rappers going toe to toe over the Cardo and Johnny Juliano produced track, both packing some serious heat with their verses. While The Game references Drake‘s late 2014 scuffle with Diddy, saying he’ll give bulletproof vests to Drizzy and the whole OVO crew, Drake raps at length about how tired he is of everyone else’s rap efforts, and how “y’all better not come to my studio with that fake shit.” The instrumental is perfect for The Game and Drake as it allows the West Coast rapper to deliver a deep and forceful flow while Drake is able to be both subtle and poignant at the same time.
The two have already started the official video for this joint and by the look of things, we are definitely in for a treat. It is not yet known when we can expect The Documentary 2 or Drake’s new album Views from the 6 but with ‘100‘ officially released, it can only be a matter of time.
