Ever since the release of his 2014 street smash ‘German Whip‘ [feat. JME & Big H], Meridian Dan has been raising the levels. The video for his track ‘I’m From A Place‘ was premiered by Noisey and his latest release ‘The Bits‘ has already racked up over 50,000 views in under a month on YouTube. With an impressive 18 months behind him, Meridian Dan has shown his worth within the UK grime scene and has stepped out of the shadows of other Bloodline group members Big H, Bossman Birdie and Prez T.
Yesterday saw the official release of his latest track ‘In The Streets‘ which was premiered on BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra last night. The bass heavy track sees the North London MC profess, “When you see me in the street, show man love!”, over a beat that appears to sample Big Sean’s “Why don’t ya say waddup though when you see me in the streets” lyrics on his 2012 single ‘GUAP’. Along with the beat, the hard hitting lyrics showcase Meridian Dan and his grittiness on the mic. The track is sure to be a hit so check it above and look out for the official video set to be released next month.
