Football fans witnessed the dismantle of Chelsea at the hand of Manchester City as they keep their 100% winning record along side Liverpool, Manchester United and Leicester. Arsenal get their first points on the board as they beat West Ham. Lost Culture focuses on the players who out-performed this weekend.

Romelu Lukaku, 22, scored twice as Everton thrash Southampton 3-0, showing signs of returning to the same form that he had whilst on loan at Everton in the 2013/14 season. The Belgian international was prolific this weekend at Martinez is undoubtedly hoping that he can maintain his form.

Andre Ayew, 25, yet not to score in a competitive match for Swansea, Ayew scored his second goal of the season in a 2-0 victory against Newcastle. Ayew is comfortably the most established summer signing so far with two outstanding performances for the Welsh club. Maybe he can inspire another great season for Swansea.

Riyad Mahrez, 24, current Premier League top scorer Mahrez inspired a 2-1 victory against West Ham. Leicester are performing outstanding under new boss Claudio Renieri. The Midlands club are consolidating themselves as a tough team to beat.

Ross Barkley, 21, played outstanding against Southampton scoring one and assisting another. The England youngster could produce another stella season and England fans can hope he performs in upcoming internationals.

Nathan Redmond, 21, young Norwich winger Redmond scored a great solo effort against Sunderland. It looks like the year down in the Championship has developed his confidence because of the freedom in the second division. Is he the new Sterling?
