After remixing the likes of Giggs, Zebra Katz [‘Ima Read‘], and Years & Years [‘Take Shelter’] under various pseudonyms, as well as producing Maidays ‘Wish You’d Met Me First‘ (which hit the Hype Machine #1 earlier this year), North London producer ARRWS seems set to release his music own to the mainstream.
ARRWS track with Australian indie duo Ginger and the Ghost, ‘The Fall‘ has been rolling around on Soundcloud for about a month now, getting people talking through its wily combination of lush indie vocals, and ethereal electronic production. It’s a standout track from all involved, is a beautiful mash up of genres is a testament to why people are excited about the emerging ARRWS.
However, the track has taken a whole new twist with a remix of South London’s Darq E Freaker, putting his own signature trap infused spin on the original creating an intense and darker sibling. His take on ‘The Fall’ pulls the pop-leaning optimism and drags it beneath the surface, coating everything in menacing, swallowing bass, unnerving chimes, and inimitable trap beats.
