The provider of all our binge watching cravings (my evening was legitimately lost to ‘Narcos’ last night, if you haven’t watched it yet, you need to!) has answered all our morbid curiosity prayers by creating, Making a Murder. A gruesome real life story that is due to hit the video viewing platform next month.
According to a press release from Netflix, the documentary series is described as a combination of ‘The Jinx’and ‘Serial’. 10 episodes in length, it covers just one case, Stephen Avery (pictured partially, above).
The series premise, “an outsider on the wrong side of the tracks convicted and later exonerated of a brutal assault. His release triggered major criminal-justice reform legislation, and he filed a lawsuit that threatened to expose corruption in local enforcement and award him millions of dollars. But in the midst of his very public civil case, he suddenly finds himself the prime suspect in a grisly new crime.” Colour me intrigued, Netflix. Well played. But, where’s a trailer?
Making a Murder debuts on the streaming site on 10th December, check back soon for the likelihood of a trailer. Merry Christmas.
