Ethereal goddess, Lana Del Rey, conducted a recent interview with NME this week. During the natural discourse of the conversation, she expressed her interest in singing a James Bond theme and promoted new album Honeymoon. Del Rey voiced that she would have loved to have been the singer behind the latest Bond film Spectre. This was evidently awarded to Sam Smith with ‘The Writing’s On the Wall‘.
Although it has been argued by Del Rey fans that her haunting voice would fit perfectly for the demands of Bond style ballad [her contribution to the Great Gatsby soundtrack, ‘Young and Beautiful‘, being a perfect example. “I would have done it if I was asked but I wasn’t. I love the Bond music that’s been put out over the years and I love soundtracks in general . There are a couple of songs on this record that have a Bond feel like ’24’ and ‘Swan Song’.” (Referring to her latest album, ‘Honeymoon‘)
