The UK Grime scene is growing from strength to strength although it can be controversial at times the energy around the UK culture. With artists like Wiley, Kano, Dizzee Rascal paving the way for alot of the genre’s artist the has been afew artist that have stood out amongst the best. One of the being Chipmunk who has come firing with his latest track ‘One Take Freestyle‘.  In this track he makes a statement that he isn’t the artist to battle with when it come to bar for bar.

Now Late last year Chipmunk dropped a track ‘96 bars of revenge‘ where he said: “Say what im saying ain’t true some of your best newcomers ain’t new so if your gonna nominate Yungen big up but nominate Sneakbo too”

Its seems Yungen who recently released his latest track ‘Comfy‘ where it seemed like he address this comment from Chipmunk by saying:

“Man wanna talk about me at the Mobos like I aint earnt it, Man wana talk about my nomination like I don’t deserve it… Man wana bring me down I know man was happy with the verdict”.

It then went to twitter and became a topic on well the uk podcast #Halfcast with Chuckie & Poet:

Nevertheless It seems the grime scene is really getting back to it’s roots in which artist create their own take on specific instrumentals (know as a ‘Riddim’ within the genre). Other artist who have also done a version to the Rude Kid instrumental. Stormzy, Jammer (From Boy Better Know) and the original version by Ghetts x Rude Kid – One Take.
