After a short break from releasing music, South London raised Bluey Robinson is back in 2016 with new energy and a new mixtape. Produced by childhood friend Zeeko and featuring guest appearances from UK talents such as Steff LDN, BentoBDA and WSTRN, Bluey says the mind- set going into this project was to make “whatever we felt they needed to hear”.
After signing to a major label and parting two years later, Bluey took some time to try his hand at a other things , while always writing and recording. Now as an independent artist, the first mixtape release ‘Where The Party At‘, shows Bluey Robinson take a modern twist on the Jagged Edge R&B classic. The blend of smooth R&B vocals and 808 heavy beat gives a nostalgic yet fresh sound, seemingly fit for the the club and radio. The ‘Where the Party At‘ video was shot at Tape London, home of The Red- room studio, where Bluey’s new project, the Redroom Mixtape was recorded.
”I am influenced by a lot of classic, throwback music. but I’m also someone who’s grown up and lived all over London, I want to blend it all together” says Bluey.
