Recording artist Cakes Da Killa is a 25-year-old rapper with five critically-acclaimed mixtapes under his belt. His 2013 release The Eulogy solidified him as “one of hip hop’s most exciting new voices,” according to The Needle Drop as well as a ferocious rapper who Pitchfork stated was, “the closest thing to a raunchy figure with enough on-mic charisma to convince you it’s an admirable personality type.”
After Cakes’ gritty reintroduction with single ‘Talkin’ Greezy‘, he has teamed up with Peaches for power anthem, ‘Up Out My Face‘, the second single to come from debut album Hedonism [which is set to drop on October 21st]. The new track is sexy, raunchy, brash and raw. Cakes Da Killa and Peaches are a force to be reckoned with, creating a sizzling track as only they could.
Simply in Cakes’ words; “This is a battle cry for anyone dealing with groupies in social settings who linger me for their own self gain; those wolves in sheep’s clothing who use deception to manipulate your heart. In short, thirsty people using my assumed clout for come ups should step off“.
