With his current single ‘Playing For You‘ already made a huge impression online, amassing over 250,000 online streams, an abundance of support from BBC Radio 1Xtra and heaps of blog support, London producer Joe Hertz returns with his highly anticipated EP How It Feels. With a little bit of everything from soul, electronic and R&B, he’s making his own sound and doing it in a proper fashion. The 6-track EP is of course produced by Joe, but also features his own vocals in addition to James Vickery, Bassette, and Tobi Sunmola. The features only add to the overall presentation of the EP.
Joe Hertz’s talents range from detailed R&B in ‘Playing For You‘, House-laden grooves with ‘Orbits‘, the rap-styling’s and laid back Hip-Hop sensibility of ‘Do Or Die‘, the opening electronic Soul odyssey of ‘Swimming‘, and also the smooth soul-filled instrumental ‘At Dawn‘. To put it simply this EP is a sizzling blend of electronic R&B and is a striking piece of new age music that blends soulful vocal performances with productions that mesh old school sound with modern electronica.
