As we approach our landmark 50th edition [and celebrate a calendar year since our first Cloud 9], we have been blessed again with another special guest curator in the form of DJ TeeTee. TeeTee is a London/Essex based open format DJ, who originally started out spinning hip-hop tracks with an emphasis on Trap. However as her career progressed, so did her musical style and she began to draw on the influences of her childhood which was a diverse range of musical styles and thus now she draws from music across the spectrum including electronic, alternative to Top 40 and Hip-Hop. Her Cloud 9 selection reflect what a typical musical journey sounds like for TeeTee [which basically could be anything] and where she draws her latest inspiration from. So sit back, plug-in and relax as we present;

1. BANKS – Fuck With Myself (LAKIM Remix)

Have you heard the original? Pretty amazing, I didn’t think it could be surpassed but Lakim has slowed the tempo down and made this a perfect record for opening a night or one of those chill mixes. This remix is dope.

2. Sango – Royal Oats (Instrumental)

“The thing I love about SoundCloud probably more than any other platform is the ability to find dope producers who just let their production skills do the talking – no vocals- nothing and this is the perfect antidote to get you into the zone. I love Sango and this track and not to take anything away from him reminds me of a young Kanye back in the day”.

3. IAMNOBODI – tehbis x touchy subject

“I like the fact that when this track first starts it isn’t too obvious what direction it is going in – but then jumps from a smooth house vibe to a chilled future beats vibe and makes thus makes this a pretty interesting track to listen to”.

4. Saint One – u dunno ma name

“I think I don’t need to say too much as to why I chose this track. Saint One flipped an Alicia Keys ballad and made it a little more club friendly. My only wish was that the track was a bit longer”.

5. Jordan James – Favorite Song (LA-NO Redition)

“This is the good sh*t. Sunday day party this song is a vibe. LA-NO produced this track a year ago and only just released it to his SoundCloud and aren’t we all blessed by this – nice chilled house vibes with great vocals. This guy has so much goooood stuff on his SoundCloud but because it had to be new”.

6. BANKS – Gemini Feed (salute remix)

BANKS again because the remixes on SoundCloud are just giving me life. The original is pretty dark but this remix builds on some serious snares and you are like whaaat. I contest anyone to tell me this track is not all that matched with BANKS vocals I am officially in love”.

7. Tory Lanez feat. Rick Ross – Super Freaky

Tory Lanez is bringing me club vibes in this track ‘Super Freaky‘ track. I can imagine dropping this in the middle of the dance and the club ringing off. It’s still super new but let this get enough air time and this will be a certified banger that people will bang too”.

8. Lion Babe – She’s A Lady

“Original Tom Jones fans might not be a fan of this but I think Lion Babe has put a nice twist on a classic. Accompanied by some sexy undertones I think this a great track to throw in the mix”.

9. Adria Kain – Styrofoam Cup

“I like the sound coming out of Toronto and I just discovered this guy. I like the fact he raps but also harmonises his vocals over the track. Have a listen and tell me if you like as well as I am digging it”.
