Chi-town’s very own Saba (Pivot) has been a star on the rise for while now. The rapper has seen much acclaim from fans worldwide for his unique style, hard hitting lyrics and infectious vibe. Many artists such as himself took advantage of the rising popularity of SoundCloud, where he possibly gains the most listens overall. Between this and his collabs with other artists like Chance the Rapper, it’s no surprise to see his prominence improving. They certainly assisted his journey to center stage, however in no shape or form were they the sole reasons why. With the potential and consistency he puts out, it was only a matter of time before his name was in the conversation. This was all summed up after we saw his specially tailored song appear on the Sony Xperia advert which was used both in the UK & US. The ad is available to watch below.

With still a way to go, he prepares to release his ‘sophomore’ EP entitled ‘Bucket List Project’. Arriving October 27th, he recently dropped the second song off the tape called “Church/Liquor Store” which features Noname (Gypsy). Detailing what he sees in and around his city, the rapper articulates his life growing up in Chicago and the trials that come with it. Noname, who is also a rising star, gives us a fantastic, standout verse and delivers as usual. Produced by Grammy Award Winning producer Cam O’bi, stream the song above. Let us know what you think below and be sure to cop Saba‘s upcoming project next Thursday.
