German rapper Joe Young has been making a name for himself in the hip-hop world during his lengthy career. Through his heavy involvement with Wu-Tang Clan, Young is currently the Brand Ambassador for Wu-Tang Clan’s Wu Wear European Clothing Line, and recent features on Max B‘s ‘Silver Surfer‘ [which also featured Wiz Khalifa & Alpac] and DMX‘s ‘MOE Wings‘, he’s showing no signs of slowing down.
Joe Young is currently preparing for the release of his new album Invincible Armour due out November 24th via his label Young Life Music Group. The project has an old school flavor with aslew of heavy hitting guest emcees including Raekwon, Ol Dirty Bastard, Old Dirty Junior, Masta Killah and more. Today Joe’s unveiling his first single,’Crack Babies‘ featuring hip-hop icon, Method Man. Produced by Dame Grease, the single opens up with Meth dropping lines about his creative process with Joe delivering his mission to take over the game. He’s also declaring war on “Mumble Rap,” and aims to create an atmosphere that will allow the listener to hear a refreshing change of hip-hops sound and delivery with his new project.
According to Joe the song is meant tobe a challenge, “’Crack Babies’ is a record about the times we are in as far as hip-hop is concerned. It’s just me asking myself about what is happening in hip-hop. Nowadays it seems like it’s cool to promote that you’re a junky. The young generation is lost in the sauce. And the Industry is promoting that type of stuff to brainwash the youth. So I wanted to go against thatwith this record. This whole project is completely anti everything that’s trendsetting today. Wu Tang is for the Children”
