Meet Masego, the Virginia-hailing sax playing leader of the TrapHouseJazz movement. He has been responsible for spearheadeding his unique sound and style from Soundcloud to a global fanbase. Having collaborated with the likes of Goldlink, Medasin and Brasstracks, Masego is a true renaissance man and has harnessed a unique and distinctive sound.
Last month, while in Europe for his debut shows, Masego caught up with Radar Radio LDN’s Kamilla Rose talking about his gospel influences, the traphouse jazz, and giving a very hilarious description of the ‘homie assisted twerk’. From learning instruments to get girls attention, the making of his single ‘Melanin Man’, the influence of the church and creating his alter ego of Uncle Sego, his unique sense of humour and style proves him as one to watch in the future.
With Radar Radio recently listed in The Guardian as ‘the home of the UK’s future tastemakers‘, Radar Radio LDN proved to be the right London home for Masego’s UK interview.
