2016 has been a seminal year for the grime scene and will be remembered for the wealth of new talent that has been displayed as well sparking the return of the OGs. Kano, Ghetts and Giggs have all returned to light up the scene and Scorcher has also been reminding us over the past 12 months that he is not to be slept on. As well as teaming up with Splurgeboy‘s Rocket for their collaborative EP, Scorcher reunited with fellow Movement members Ghetts and Mercston for his previous release, ‘99 Riddim‘.
Looking to end the year on a high, Scorcher has returned with a new video via Link Up TV entitled ‘Last Night In Edmonton‘, his take on Shayne Brown‘s track of the same name from earlier in the year. In a nod to his North London roots, Scorcher takes a reflective look on his past, talking on his childhood from races with friends, wearing the freshest garms and keeping safe on road. The beat allows him to speak his mind and the accompanying video focuses on Scorch as he opens up.
