Every year we wait. Every year, there is controversy.

This time round UEFA, offered the fans a chance to pick their very own Team of the Year. participating via the official website, they received over 7 and half million votes. Many were upset even though the people chose, claiming the list was simply a popularity contest. Agree? Whether you do or not, there is no real contesting the talent of each player included. Real Madrid seems to be the highest voted (player wise) and most popular choice, with four players included. Barcelona trail narrowly behind with three, Italian heroes Juventus see two players featured and Bayern Munich/Atlético Madrid split the remaining two spots. There may not be much club diversity, however 7 different nationalities are present here, Iconic and exciting, check out the list below:

Goal Keeper: GiGi Buffon (Juventus/Italy)

Defenders: Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid/Spain), Gerard Piqué (Barcelona/Spain), Jerome Boateng (Bayern Munich/Germany), Leonardo Bonucci (Juventus/Italy)

Midfielders: Andrés Iniesta (Barcelona/Spain), Toni Kroos (Real Madrid/Germany), Luka Modric (Real Madrid/Croatia)

Forward: Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid/Portugal), Antoine Griezmann (Atlético Madrid/France), Lionel Messi (Barcelona/Argentina).
