Leon Bridges christens comeback with double single drop
Leon Bridges is back! After a brief pause between albums, the talented vocalist returned this week with a double release. Titled Bad Bad News and Bet Ain’t Worth the Hand, both tracks are set to feature on Leon’s upcoming LP.
Bad Bad News is clearly jazz and funk influenced, as a saxophone-led soundscape follows Leon‘s lead throughout.
“They tell me I was born to lose // But I made a good good thing out of bad bad news”
The Columbia signee sings across the song’s chorus.
Bet Aint Worth the Hand is reminiscent of Leon‘s debut album. The slower-paced ballad sees the Texas native utilizing a more rustic sound and demonstrate the power of his voice.
“But you got to let me go // Don’t get your feelings broke for nothing”
Clearly, Leon is sharing all the secrets he has learned over the years with these two records alone.
Leon‘s sophomore set titled Good Thing is due May 4th. In the meantime, hear his two singles below:
