Toronto’s Cardo Antonnio hits listeners with prequel tape, “Baby Bounce”
Cardo Antonnio recently dropped off his 3-level prequel in the shape of “Baby Bounce“, an enjoyable teaser which leads up to the artist’s next major project. Ensuring that you recognise “This is not an EP“, Cardo gives listeners just a taste of what’s to come. Talented in-house producer (and older brother) J Cortz, handles all of the production on this release, presenting a quickfire variety of sound suited to contemporary hip hop.
Inspired by the era of 8-bit games, each track sees subtle video-game sound effects blended in through sampling. This gives a lightweight feel and easy-listen bounce to the songs, which also offer catchy hooks and hit-worthy songwriting. Previous tracks “Kalipari” and “Paid in Advance” would imply this level of execution is consistent from Cardo, who seems to be building a signature sound from the 4 walls bedroom studio.
Keep a look out for his main LP arriving soon and be sure to stream “Baby Bounce” on SoundCloud or Spotify here now. Also be sure to give us your thoughts on the release in our comment section below or explore more of the latest music release by visiting the link provided underneath.
