James Gillespie releases phenomenal alternative single “Dead in the Water”

Fast rising singer-songwriter James Gillespie recently released his new single, “Dead in the Water“,  a hypnotic and impressive stripped-back release. This atmospheric soundtrack cause easily slip into a major motion picture, with passionate vocals and intense lyrics keeping you hooked from the off. Slow drums and heavy piano keys lays at the base of this soulful record, backing a clearly impassioned musician, who we’re sure gave many people here a great introduction into his world.

Speaking on the track, James explains:
“It’s about knowing you’ve fallen before you do, the feeling that you will carry on floating aimlessly without that love. In this case, its a forbidden one – that you both want but can’t have. I produced it with Mike Spencer, whose studio’s in the middle of a wood; it definitely captured a moment, turning off the lights and recording vocals using only the light coming through the trees.”
