Update: J. Cole drops brand new music video for instant fan favourite “ATM“. Check out the video above now or stream the album in full.
Gaining a widely positive response by listeners so far, J. Cole blesses the world with his fifth official major album “KOD“. The tape is confirmed to have multiple meanings and layers, with Cole himself stating it’s abbreviated for three different things. In the tweet below, he states the title means “Kids on Drugs“, “King Overdosed” and “Kill Our Demons“. Once again having no features except for kiLL edward (which is probably Cole himself), there also doesn’t appear to be any guest producers either.
A couple of days ago, the revered rapper took to social media to announce pop up shows / listening parties for the album in New York and London. Fans in these two major cities were the first and only ones to know about the album, until Cole‘s actual announcement. A few days back he tweeted “It’s time” before quickly deleting, however most people caught it and expected the project – which has now arrived!
KOD. 3 meanings.
Kids on Drugs
Kill Our Demons
The rest of the album I leave to your interpretation.

Following a similar format to “2014 Forest Hills Drive“, where the album received no single’s or music videos until after it’s release, Cole maybe letting the fans pick the single once more. So, you can almost certainly expect a lot of content from Cole and Dreamville in the coming weeks.
