Manchester based poet and musician, Dámì Sule, releases his debut LP in the shape of “Rough Canvas“. This is the first major project from the young talent, who has been making a name for himself in and around the city, particularly over the past 12 months. Preparing for a brief two-stop tour, the skilled writer finally unleashes his first full-length project before performing in Manchester & London late June.
This soulful offering sees elements of melodic rap, spoken word, poetry and lyricism, all infused neatly into 10 stunning tracks. Touching on a series of introspective themes including love, fragility and religion, there’s a message within this tape for each and every one of us. Already receiving music videos for standout tracks “Crayons” and “Self Love” from his previous EP and “Chains” from this project, we’ll have to wait and see if any other visuals emerge (seems likely).
Available to stream below via Deezer, be sure to listen to the tape now or access it on all other major platforms here. Be sure to give us your thoughts on the project in our comment section underneath or explore more of the latest music releases via the link below.
