Domo Gorille drops energetic video for infectious cut “Smoking Mirrors”
North London rapper and illustrator Domo Gorille recently dropped the visuals for his debut single, “Smoking Mirrors“, which features a chorus difficult to not sing along with by the second time around. This is the artist’s first official music video, which was released alongside a line of merchandise to boot. This arrives courtesy of the rapper’s streetwear apparel-based brand, DomosGallery.
It actually marks the fourth garment delivery, but first single and accompanying visual from Domo, who evidently is a talented and multi-faceted individual. His music appears to go hand in hand with his choice of fashion and illustration style, presenting a larger interactive theme for his audio releases. Out of this world concepts and fictional characters are brought into the mix, some of which you can view below.
Intertwining this visionary art with some stunning music, “Smoking Mirrors” offers a raw, infectious and well put together (possible) introduction to himself as a creative. These bleak but colourful set of visuals were directed expertly by Joe Rubio, Max Allum, Zack Henry and Barry Scowen, who are just a few of the many people involved in this exciting project.
