Wild in Art x Manchester City Council team up for “Bee in the City” campaign
Manchester City Council are teaming up with adventurous organisation Wild In Art, who are known for bringing creative ideas to life in cities across the world. Manchester‘s iconic bee logo will be used as the latest theme for their latest collaborative project, which will see a colony of huge Bee sculptures placed across the city. Aiming to bring communities together and raise money for charity, the scheme will bring vibrancy and fun to the North-West English city.
Over 100 giant bees can be discovered in this free, family-oriented exhibition, that features artistic designs by a range of talents from different ages/backgrounds. Allocated one bee each, the group of highly skilled artists pulls inspiration mainly from domestic icons, industry, landmarks, music scene and other pivotal references. Schools, colleges and community groups have all been given the chance to take part.
The trail begins July 23rd and will last for exactly two months, ultimately ending on September 23rd. The exhibition and artists can be followed on all major social media platforms, listed at the official website here.
