Jordan Brand & Don C unveil Air Jordan 312 Legacy Pack
Jordan Brand presents their latest collection with Don C, who teams up with the basketball-oriented global apparel brand for a three-piece Jordan Legacy 312 sneaker pack. Described as one of the designer’s most personal collabs to date, this release serves as a nod to Michael Jordan‘s supreme talent and elite skills. Spending years admiring the sports icon, Don C pulls inspiration from MJ‘s glory years, which birthed many historic designs and colourways.
The 312 itself is hailed as a tribute to his hometown of Chicago, known for being the city’s area code, along with a hybrid of the Air Jordan 1 and 3. Creating the pack at the conglomerate’s campus in Beaverton, Don dedicated to blend the vamp and upper of the AJ 1, the midfoot strap and eyelets of the Nike Air Alpha Force Low and the midsole, heel counter, elephant print and outsole of the Air Jordan 3.
Putting it all together on the actual day, Don turned rough sample into a three-piece drop and explains:
“I wanted the Jordan Legacy 312 to have the sole of the Jordan 3, because to me, that shoe is the foundation of the brand”,
“The 1s and the 2s were Nike’s first. The 3s were Jordans. That’s when the brand became the brand. I’ve always felt that the foundation of the brand is the 3, but it was built on the 1 first”.
As a final touch, the “Just Don” tag is sewn onto the tongue for a unique and sentimental touch, tying Don emotionally to the pair. Available from Nike‘s official website here on August 11th (tomorrow), you can grab any of the three for £145.71 GBP.
