Towards the end of the Gather Round event, Apple revealed its new entry-level iPhone X model, the iPhone XR.
The new model features a 6.1-inch LCD screen in place of OLED. Although it still retains an edge-to-edge display that Apple has named Liquid Retina. It will use a new aerospace-grade aluminum and glass casing rather than the previous stainless steel edges.
The iPhone XR will also include a new haptic touch feature for pressing on the home screen to instantly launch the camera or torch. It possesses a 12MP with OIS wide-angle camera and the same photo capturing technologies as iPhone Xs and Xs Max.
The Photos app can edit picture depth in the same way its bulkier counterparts do. Additionally, it holds an improved battery that provides an hour and a half more life than the iPhone 8 or 8 Plus.
The iPhone XR comes in six new finishes: white, black, blue, yellow, coral and (PRODUCT)RED. It will be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB starting at $740 USD. The XR can be preordered starting October 19, while arriving at stores on October 26.
