Ex-architect Dinara Kasko creates artistic Kinetic Tarts using sheets of chocolate
Three-dimensional art meets cocoa and cake, as José Margulis‘ rigid work is transformed into edible sweets by former architect, Dinara Kasko.
Well known for her creative exploits, the Ukranian baker serves up some interesting shapes for the collaboration. Vibrant standout tones are applied to the “Kinetic Tarts“, which overall adds eye-catching angles to the desserts.
Using sculpted sheets of layered chocolate to bring stunning designs to the cakes, Kakso and Margulis combined their greatness for food publication, So Good. The artist and patisserie chef actually executed this recipe last year, including a whole variety of colourful creations.
Dezeen details how Margulis formed his sculptures from layers of colourful plastic sheets – “creating a geometric pattern that changes depending on the viewing angle. Then through the use of industrial cutting machines, chocolate was sliced up and assembled atop a berry tart.”
