Sony to bring back PlayStation 1 as new miniaturized console
Trending across social media over the past couple of days, Sony has recently announced that it is bringing back the PlayStation 1 console in a smaller format.
The nostalgia surrounding the news is very strong, as the tech company revives its original gaming system 25 years on. Following in the footsteps of their direct competitors, they have clearly looked at the needs of fans who’ve been vocal about bringing back the classics.
Named the PlayStation Classic, the computer will come with around 20 pre-loaded games from its debut era, including the likes of:
- Final Fantasy VII
- Jumping Flash,
- Ridge Racer Type 4
- Tekken 3
- Wild Arms.
Arriving as a bundle with two classic PS1 controllers, the system swaps out its previous RCA AV cable for a HDMI one. Available to pre-order now, visit Sony PlayStation here for a guaranteed purchase on December 3rd – where the console hits retailer worldwide.
You can also get an in-depth look and more details on available over on the official PS website, with prices specified according to region ($99.99 USD/£89.99 GBP). Preview the returning gaming system above or click our link underneath for more tech news.
