Emily Ratajkowski & Amy Schumer Arrested at Protest
Emily Ratajkowski and Amy Schumer were among more than 300 people arrested on Thursday during protests over Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
Hundreds of protesters marched through Washington, DC as a public demonstration to challenge Kavanaugh’s nomination. This follows accusations towards Kavanaugh from three women of various forms of sexual misconduct.
The Trump administration state that they find “no corroboration” of sexual misconduct allegations against Kavanaugh. However, according to the BBC, Democrats voice that the five-day inquiry was “incomplete”. This was due to the White House limiting the investigation, BBC reports state.
The Senate will carry out an official procedural vote on the nominee this Friday.Until then, the country will wait apprehensively to discover the outcome. Whether the result will support or invalidate the views of women is not yet clear.
