New Zara Logo Receives Mixed Reviews

Zara unveiled their new logo earlier this week, but not everyone is impressed with the new design.

The former, easily recognizable logo has been replaced with a more tightly kerned design. Where once the letters were spread out, they now overlap, while the Z and the R now have a curve.

The style is the signature typography of the artistic director and Baron & Baron founder, Fabien Baron.

The Inditex-owned retailer changed its logo once before in 2010. However, that update was more readily accepted by consumers.

Customers and even graphic designers have taken to social media to express their feelings towards the new “squashed” look.
