Nike applies power lacing to Adapt BB basketball shoe

Focused on getting athletes the perfect fit, Nike unveils their self-lacing basketball shoe in the shape of the (Hyper) Adapt BB. Split into two releases – an exclusive one and a general release – the pair fuses new updated fabrics with state of the art sneaker/smartphone tech.

The performance shoe is designed the meet the changing needs of the foot at any given time whilst playing basketball. Pulling from some iconic and innovative past models, including the Huarache, Flywire, and Flyknit, we finally get a deeper look at the power lacing system in action.

Introducing preliminary versions of the tech on the HyperAdapt 1.0, Nike now applies firmware which can see the wearer tighten or loosen their left or right shoe through an app. Described by the sportswear giant as a “near-symbiotic relationship” with the digital app, check out the sneaker above.

Continuously updated and available soon, be sure to grab the pair at a TBA date over at Nike.com here for £299.95Nike‘s FitAdapt technology will be available in the sneaker from early February, however, you can preview the tech now on YouTube.
