J. Cole drops the music video for his latest single – “Middle Child”

Cryptically teasing the single on social media, J. Cole recently unleashed “Middle Child” unto fans, then soon followed it up with a music video which arrived yesterday evening.

Directed by King Mez, the video features scenes with Cole surrounded by dead bodies, then at the front of a drumline, then inside a whip with Lute and then in a supermarket trolley. These abstract scenes are of course metaphors, which most of Cole‘s videos usually present, offering an alternative meaning to the lyrics.

The single is said to be taken from the upcoming Dreamville posse LP, “Revenge of the Dreamers III“, however, there is apparently even more music meant to arrive from the modern hip-hop superstar very soon.
