New week, new edition of Music Video Monday here at L Ø S T CULTURE. It’s where we like to give recognition to the talent behind the lens as well as the talent in front. Keep reading to see what outstanding projects have been revealed to the world in the past 7+ days.
Building an impressive resume over the past few years, KC Locke and his team handle the visuals for Mahalia and Burna Boy‘s “Simmer“, blending film and digital shots together to create a warm and mellow vibe throughout. This is followed by Aneil Karia‘s short film with Kano titled “Trouble“, which also serves as a music video for three song’s off of his brand new album.
The Plug Records keeps going strong as they drop the visuals for D Block Europe and Offset record “Rich“, directed by Jay Papworth. ValentinPetit holds down A$AP Ferg in the epic accompanying video for new single “Floor Seats“, which he releases amidst charges against mob leader and peer A$AP Rocky – who’s currently being held in Sweden.
Last but certainly not least, M. Corey Whitted & Nick Walker direct the movie-like visuals for Freddie Gibbs & Madlib’s album-cut “Giannis“, which also features Anderson .Paak.
