Danny Brown drops first visuals from new album with “Dirty Laundry”

Danny Brown is back with new single “Dirty Laundry”, and has also announced the release date for his follow-up to 2016’s “Atrocity Exhibition“, with “uknowhatimsayin¿” dropping October 4th via Warp.

Dirty Laundry, produced by Q-Tip, sees Danny pick up where he left off three years ago. He’s still funny, still has a unique voice and his ability to tell anecdotes in the middle of his bars has not been lost. I can’t even really explain the beat, it’s a minimalistic beat with a collection of beeping running throughout and what sounds like an electric organ at times too. It’s really something only Danny Brown can spit over and own.

The video, directed by Simon Cahn, is like an alternate version of “Taxi Driver“. It features Danny Brown dressed up as an old, fat man driving round in a taxi and doing other regular day things, like shopping and doing laundry. It’s very well shot and matches the aesthetic of the song perfectly.

The hype for “uknowhatimsayin¿” is real, this song is very Danny Brown and as we already know the rest of album is to be executive produced by Q-Tip, it should be up there as an Album of the Year contender. Make sure to check out the video above and let us know what you think!
