Nike celebrates Black History Month with BHM Jersey

Nike invites footballers to celebrate Black History Month with jersey release

Nike recently launched an exclusive jersey in celebration of Black History Month, joining up with a handful of Black British footballers for the campaign.

Only available in the UK, the design is said to stand as – “a symbol of solidarity and shared identity…in celebration of the most influential black British athletes.”

Worn by the men’s national team, including footballers such as Raheem Sterling, Tammy Abraham, Marcus Rashford, Callum Wilson and Jadon Sancho, the kits were released a few days ago and are now available to purchase in men’s, kids and women’s sizes here

Aiming to provide development opportunities and create pathways toward positive change, Nike has partnered with Sported – one of the leading Sport for Development charities in the UK. This is said to include mentorship for 12 entrepreneurial young Londoners who are inspiring and enabling the next generation to play more sport in their local communities.

Nike also state that they will be working with the National Council for the Training of Journalists and PA Learning to elevate opportunity for women in sport, by amplifying the visibility of women’s sports coverage in the UK.

Now available at Nike online here, preview the shirts via the senior England squad above or purchase the jersey in black or white for £47.95. Be sure to comment your thoughts below and tap the link underneath to explore more football news.
