PREMIERE: Louis VI embraces his true “NATURE” in visuals to new single
Louis VI gives us the pleasure of premiering his new single, “Nature” – directed by Gwil Doe & creatively directed by the man himself.
Serving as the first single from his upcoming project, this is his first release on his own label ‘Like Water’.
The single once again see’s Louis bravely re-evolve his sound into a glorious manifestation of the anger & frustration of the young generation around the world at the state of climate change; bursting with emotion after Hurricane Maria tore through the Caribbean and caused unprecidented damage to the Island of Dominica where Louis draw’s his heritage from, he wrote this as a wake up call that forms a Soulful, bashment infused style of hip hop that is also produced by the young North-Londoner.
The visual is a pure joyful rebellion, the way art is supposed to be. At the current situation of politicians, at corporations doing nothing to save the world we live on, but also he seems to breaking drown something else… just his movement is infectious in that it’s him, clearly being truly himself on camera, messing around shuffling & striking some MJ reminiscent posses.
We find Louis in a seemingly dystopian empty world that looks on fire from the blood orange sky; from the way it’s filmed, framed, lit, to the way Louis dances & moves, it’s all rebellious in it’s nature.
