Samsung recently unveiled its next-generation QLED Gaming Monitor, with the screen standing at 49-inches and an ultra-wide curve.
The aspect ratio for the monitor is 32:9, paired with new metal Quantum dot technology and a VApanel with 1msMPRT. This ensures colours pop in their purest form, across the super ultra-wide 49-inch screen.
With these dimensions, gamers will always be able to get to see game scenes in their entirety, exactly as their developers originally desired when designing the game. This along with the screen’s 1800R curved panel ensures people will be immersed in gameplay. Samsung says the experience is “cinematic” and “IMAX–like“.
Samsung‘s QLED tech helps deliver more lifelike colour (particularly red and green) and supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) for images with wider luminance levels. In short, this makes dark areas deeper and light areas brighter.
The monitor also generates an incredibly quick 144Hzscreenrefresh, which ensures smooth action scenes and playthroughs with high frame rates. There’s an option to adjust the refresh rate to 60Hz/120Hz if needed.
One of the most exciting features is ArenaLighting – which projects a pulsating lightshow on to a wall behind the monitor for an encapsulating all-round experience.
