Virgil Abloh models the upcoming Off-White x Air Jordan 2020 Collection

Off-White x Air Jordan combine once more for the Chicago Collaborators’ Collection 2020

It all started in 2017 when Virgil Abloh released 10 collaborative versions of classic Nike, Jordan and Converse silhouettes – otherwise known as “The Ten.

Changing the sneaker game forever with his trademark aesthetic, the standout designer comes back for seconds Spring/Summer 2020. His upcoming delivery includes a new variation of the Air Jordan V, which arrives in full leather across its upper and typical AJ 5 detailing throughout.

Hailed as the most anticipated item of the collection, it also features Virgil‘s iconic zip-tye, translucent textile panels and his new “design language”, which relates to the strategically placed holes or circles. For this pair, it represents the “Air” in Nike, a concept even used on the box the pair comes in.

Virgil Abloh’s choice to use the Air Jordan V comes from childhood, with the “Black Metallic” variation being the first one he ever owned. Dropping this weekend, the pair is part of the Chicago Collaborators‘ collection and arrives with ‘Bred’ apparel.
